Last year’s showcase was the largest to-date with over 280 galleries. And while art is the main draw, there are tens of thousands of people who come to Miami to take in the year-round warm weather. Others come to party amongst the elite at popular nightclubs such as LIV and E11even. When discussing Art Basel’s economic impact, Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber stated, “more private jets show up to Art Basel than the Super Bowl.”

The art market saw massive growth in recent years. Projections for this year are even higher. Alongside artists, each year investors, realtors, and luxury retailers host over-the-top events during Art Basel.
